Never a fan of picking faces for supposed diversity, but that was a strange choice of labor - maybe targeting the One Nation vote? It was very targeted.

And now we have a Morrison budget that apart from punching down on job seekers (fairly pointlessly) looked for all the world like a centre-left budget.

It's bizarroland.

Great, yet more income tax - how about cutting some spending first before raising taxes - there are more than enough passengers (aka civil servants). Chop some of them and give the money saved back to the people

This is not a conservative government - but then the electorate is not prepared to listen to listen to reality and would rather hear fairy tales instead

Yeah it was a bit weird. I do wonder if they were going after the One Nation vote too.

Maybe it was centre left, the housing part was looking after the investor though. No penalties there, just throw money at the FBH and watch prices go again. Time to invest in your 5th and 6th investment property. Jump on board.

We found the implementation of a Tobin tax on banks interesting because we thought consumers would likely face a direct increase in interest rates as a result.

The ideological load you carry on your shoulders must indeed weigh a ton. No doubt this burden is such that thinking on a rational level becomes a feat near impossible.

Socialists of course fight for the betterment of their country. Which is why the standards of living are so high in northern European countries. Which in turn make them patriots.

It is just not your narrow definitions of the word where such thinking has already lost you one country....

That stutter back again a note. The rest just shows how down the line of ideological irrelevance you are.

Seriously a note should be permanently pined to you that illuminates at night with the words, "Not to be taken seriously "

Social Democrats have a history of fighting for the betterment of society, not just a few of the most able; who demand ever more with an unsatisfiable sense of entitlement and greed.

Demonstrate where they fight for the most able at all?

One portion of society is not enough. It needs to be all. The big picture.

This is where people of your kind continually come unstuck.

The rise and decline of the American working/middle class would demonstrate the results being wantonly enforced giving the opportunity on Australians creating the same results.

I'll gladly relate an insight into that to get you started on the road to self enlightenment.

Shan't bother though if you constantly play the petulant child in class ..
