Stu On the subject of buying cars, we're going car hunting this weekend as our old banger has .... banged! It has passed away and gone to the great scrapyard in the sky... god rest it's engine :D Up til now I've always bought from new so this will be my first time shopping for a second hand car on a low budget - so it will be an experience! Hopefully not a bad one :ohmy: :rofl: |

Its also handy not to change it, if for some reason you happen to get the wrong side of a man with a speed trap, they cannot issue points to a non AU license

You don't so much as "change" your licence as get a QLD one in addition to the one you have - that's assuming you are in queensland! It's quite handy having it as ID.

As the figure isn't very large, once you agree a price with the saleman and they are doing the paperwork, tell them that you expect them to pay the stamp duty :D |
