Re: Budget Predictions
Looks like MOTS may still be on the table - just 'hidden' from voters in SA/VIC for the time being:
Foreign option still in the mix for new submarines

Re: Budget Predictions
From what we have seen you certainly wouldnt be paying more here or less there. It is of course silly to compare 2 totally different situations. Of course you will pay more in London than you would in Adelaide, that is obvious but overall I cant see rents being cheaper in Australia for what you get.

Re: Budget Predictions
The Aussie newspapers are increasingly going that way these days. Given their revenues for the printed product are down it's understandable but their pricing structure is too steep. The digital version should be around 50% of their news stand price. Better to have several customers paying something than none paying a lot.

Re: Budget Predictions
Fairfax papers (e.g. The Age, SMH) have gone that way already for some overseas based readers, and will be too for Australian based visitors in the future. However, the way they're currently doing it means you can still read the article via the source code - you just have to scroll down a fair way until you get to it.

You should know better than rehashing Murdochs mouth piece. These shenanigans have gone on in every budget here I have known. Would love to know what Abbott will cut.
