Not a bad instrument to learn actually. My mum made me learn it when I was at school. I actually wanted to learn the guitar but she and dad made noises about "awful pop music rubbish" and "waste of money" so I had a teenage hissy fit and picked an instrument I thought they'd never agree to, and said "Right, I'll play the cello then". They only went and flipping well bought one, and I had to drag the thing around and play it for four years
Turned out to be quite fun, except for its size when taking it to school, and when played properly it has a lovely sound :) |

When I was picking what instrument to learn at school, I wanted to pick the cello. My Dad decided it would be too heavy for me to lug around (particularly on the school bus), so made me pick the violin instead. I hated it and so was deliberately bad at it for years. I still want to learn the cello. I set that as a new year's resolution for myself every year. And one year I will stick to it. :)

 My mum made me play the violin from the age of about 6, hated it. Cello was much more fun :) Before I die? Drive to Perth and back. |
Re: Bucket List anyone?
I want to go to the Giraffe manor in Nairobi. I had a sky dive on the list but I've done that, may well do it again though. Also, whilst being a true atheist, I'd love to see Christ the Redeemer over Rio.

Shoot a lion in the face.
Have a staring contest with Christopher Walken. Drink a whole bottle of Milk Of Magnesia at once. Punch Muhammad Ali. Beat the Dalai Lama in competitive meditation. Talk to a tramp. Have a fight with a monkey, (though it would probably tear the skin of my face). |
