Bring your sofas!

Bloomin heck , have been sofa shopping the last couple of days. I cant stand looking at my fantastic furniture sofa any longer.

Even in the sales i cannot believe the price of them, and some of them look pure mental.

We had to go shopping a while back and agree... sofa shopping is hard work.

Initially we bought one from a large (cheapo) chain. It was huge when we got it delivered but thought we'd grow to love it.

We all developed breathing problems from the fumes within the week and returned it... to learn that traders seem to know that some of the new big type sofa's have these awful fumes which mess with breathing.

We looked around further and couldn't find anything sensibly priced that we liked. In the end we opted for a very nice second hand one.

That's no good! Fortunately we kept our original one until we got another. It sat outside in the pergola for a while afterwards and was a cosy spot to feed the birds.

You could always cut the legs off your coffee table, buy some cushions and tell them you're going oriental.

I'd suggest deck chairs or been bags as that wont be comfortable at all

We did the same! Bought some lovely vintage second hand armchairs as well. They look like they came out of a swanky old hotel from the 50s, which might even be the case.

M, stick it on Ebay and we'll have a look.We are in need of one more sofa..

We very rarely buy new furniture as we don't like modern stuff or rather, having a house which looks like it has been furnished from Hardly Normal....

our house has evolved...from a pissy old mattress..
to the mismatched disaster it is now.

it was pissy before I got it.
It was in use as a bed and then a sofa.
My wife chose a new mattress on the way back from the airport and the pissy mattress became a sofa.

We didn't buy a bed and a sofa until we got a mortgage.
