Breaking Bad

Anyone else on here a Breaking Bad nut? I 'acquired' the latest episode yesterday and watched it. Greatest tv show of all time.

Watched the lot! Kind of lost it a bit during the second season but got back in to it again right to the end

Currently watching Prison Break back to back. Once we've done on this we'll catch up on True Blood which is my all time fav

Yep, I'm a big fan. Started series 4 a few days ago with things getting a little bit uncomfortable for Walt.

Glad it's back, it's a good show that hasn't lost it as seasons have gone on.

Prison Break is good for seasons 1 & 2 but after that starts getting silly!

We've only just got into it - had the first series for months and months and watched it in 2 days last month. Picked up the second series yesterday so the kids and I will be watching that later today :)

Very funny, very well written, very dark. Very fantastic.

(I love True Blood too - the books are even better than the tv series)

yep, one of the best written, acted and shot tv series of all time in my opinion. I agree that series 2 was a bit slow, but from then on it is excellent

Yeah, love it. I think I've finally managed to get my Mrs into it and we're going to watch it from the beginning again. Madmen too. Watching S05E01 right now

Just realized that this thread is pointless as there are too many spoilers to avoid. It's that kind of show where everything has a purpose to the plot.

Re Mad Men, I thought it got a bit crap towards the end of season 4 and I thought season 5 was a total waste of time with no real structure to it. I was waiting up until the third or fourth last episode for something to happen.

My favourite show ever too. Just magnificent writing, characters, storylines, the lot. I think possibly its greatest attribute is the pacing of the show. Just superb.

Have been busy this week but will hunt down the 1st episode of the new series tonight I think. Can't wait

I actually think the directing is the best part of it.

You see I disagree with you there. Mad Men for all its mainstream popularity is actually a lot more subtle and deep in its storylines and characters than most tv shows. It's not really about twists and plots etc and more about the psychological struggles and developments of the characters. For me season 5 was mostly centered around Don's struggles to exist without having his wife in his life 24/7 (ie: at work and home)

Not sure you should be posting spoilers like that.
