Traditionally I like JD, but I've been introduced to Slate over here which is pretty good, and most importantly has a cool name and bottle.

anyone in the uk noticed that the price of bourbon has gone sky high lately???? I went in asda t'other day, and JB was about £19! with JB black being close to £25

It certainly was, if soap bar was dry you could always rely on slate to piss you right off as it was shite.
Onto the matter in hand and my vote goes to JD, everytime someone comes to visit from the UK i insist on 2, 1 litre bottles per person from singapore airport. If no JD then i'd happily settle for Jim Beam.

I drink Maker's Mark when it's on special and JD the rest of the time. Unless I'm really skint in which case I drink Cougar, which really isn't a bad drop in the grand scheme of things. Not a fan of Jim Beam at all.
