Book reccomendation!
About 1/3rd of the way through Down Under by Bill Bryson, well worth a read for all of us yet to get there, good little history lessons in their as to how it all came about and got to how it is today as well as a travel book.

Thats one I`ve been meaning to read for a while so you`ve just jogged my memory. I love this guys wit & writing style. A few years ago I read Notes From A Small Island which had me LOL and made Christmas shopping v. easy.Everyone I know who read it thought it v. funny.
BTW I find books v. expensive in Oz.Any suggestions as to cheaper places to buy?

Just read Almost French by Sarah Turnbaull - story about an Australian woman taking a years leave to travel and after a brief meeting with a French man in Bucharest she goes see him in Paris for a week and ends up staying - good book.
