My thought was that it was someone who is helpful, funny, supportive, starts interesting threads & generally contributes to the forum in a positive way.

i think your right, it is a lot to live up to but theres a few over the years that would have been top of the list. not so many this year who cover all the points you picked out though.

But if "Best" is not defined everyone naturally applies their own interpretation of it and hence everyone on the list deserves to be there.
