Best Dressed.....
GC 2012. I think I may be getting old. If someone says Best Dressed to me I imagine a certain look. May not be something I'd wear, but it's something that suits and fits the wearer, they would have clean hair, look vaguely smart or at least tidy. I do not think of this lot.

No 6 looks homeless  and no 12 looks like my 70 year old hippy bohemian aunt.
But 'best dressed' in this type of 'magazine' format means fashionable - and fashionable seems to mean dresses like a bag lady here  |
Re: Best Dressed.....
I think they all look good. I like the picture above with the older lady, she looks arty and groovy

Re: Best Dressed.....
Oh dear. The old lady is a shocker- sort of wearing as many different coloured and patterned things as possible and with a very stupid haircut- check the fringe out!-that a 20 year old might get away with on a dark night.
Not arty, just tasteless, like she's escaped from a pantomime.. |

I think quite a few of the models need better guidance on how to pose which doesn't help show the clothes at their best. Few of the outfits really grabbed me, but my inner hippy quite likes this purple dress. I would ditch the hat, boots and scarf though and just go with sandals... and a more flimsy belt... and I'd probably taper the sleeves more into a three quarter length... and give it a nice scoop neckline...

Re: Best Dressed.....
OMG Cheap, tacky and "orrible
Funny as I had just flicked through a old copy of Vanity Fair, drooling over elegant ethereal fashions then I saw that lot :eek: Shops are full of really disgusting clothes too, lime green jeans, lollypink tops, and that awful combo of orange and turquoise. Add some crocodile scale skin, with hot orange or pink lippy and you wonder if Dame Edna really did retire:lol: |

The fact that the website domain is "tools.goldcoast.com.au" causes me some amusement.

Re: Best Dressed.....
There's an older lady on there that looks like a bad Cruella De Vil.
