Default Bangkok airport

Has anyone passed through it recently? honest impressions please.

We can get some flights but involves Bangkok change, only 2 hours but memories of that airport in another era :scared: are not good, and now have children......

Is it still machine gunned airport staff, general grime and the welcome but we do execute signs

Hi guys

Ive been through a few times and have found it much the same as other airports in the world except for loads of backpackers looking bemused.
How long are you there for?

It'll take you two hours to have a walk to the end of the pier and back!

Just about every turnround at BKK one or two passengers get lost and delay the flight - make sure it's not you!

Went through it about a fortnight again, checking in with Thai Airways took less than 5mins, no queue to go through passport control, pretty large modern duty free shops etc through near the dept gates. No problems with it at all, we thought it was a pretty good airport.

We were there a few weeks ago too (in transit) and everything was groovy. We had our children with us (ages 1.5 and 3.5) and they just ran up and down the concourse - there was no one about and it was really good - stretch their little legs before the second half of the flight.
