Baby it's cold inside.......

So I am making a roasted pumpkin soup to warm us up indoors for afternoon tea, you know when your in a QLD winter in a draughty Queenslander when you are wearing more clothes indoors and going outside seems slightly warmer;)....... Can't have it both ways though as it's a cool house in the summer.... Should be used to it by now but still hate it, roll on those long summer days and I can put my slippers, dressing gown, flannelette pj's away :) anybody else freezing inside their house ?

Also listening to Steve Wright Lovesongs..... so a perfect Sunday really, could be worse.... my mum has had her central heating most of their UK summer so far poor things.

Yep, we are very "cool" in our house. Lots of glass and high ceilings. Heater goes on at night (on low).

Still a nice 20 degrees outside here in Briz.

Mine was 14 degrees inside. Got up to 17 in rooms that got a bit of sun. As it is now getting dark the fire is going back on.

Yup- soon we'll be like my MIL who wears a vest even in summer, and then complains that it is hot!

I think we could be, the tell tale signs will be when we start pissing our knickers each time we laugh and farting with each step we take, wearing tan coloured stockings knotted about the knees and calling people of 30 years older 'Dear'.

Minus 6 the other night in Canberra, although our house is quite well insulated and has full-on central heating. You need it here.

the temperature indoors here is only slightly higher than outdoors I really wish we had tried to get portable gas heaters before renting in Vic, they are legal in NSW but illegal here so you can't buy them aargh!

Yes... it's officially cold in Brisbane today... Whoo hoo!!

I'll admit, it's a pain to have to go outside in the cold and rain and dark... but that cosy blast of warm when you get back home and come inside is the best.

You can turn up the heater and pile on the layers in Winter... but in Summer there is only so much you can do to get cool.
