Hi BE Mates!

I have heard that baby bonus is going from 1st March 2014. My next baby is due end march 2014. Will I get something in place of baby bonus or its totally gone?

Maybe this is the most sensible thing that Abbott has changed (can't believe that I am actually saying something positive about "budgie-snuggler). .
Personally know of people that have purchased tv and elecrtrical equipment, had breast-enhancements and just about anything else but for what it was intended for.

Thanks Sassie. The link you sent says 2000 for the first child and 1000 for the second child. In my case, I have a 4 year kid who migrated with me and now we are going to have our second kid. So Family Assistance will count the new kid my first kid or second kid?

newborn will be 1st child as it only applies to children born after 1 March 2014

We have a first due in July (I am scared out of my pant)

I couldn't care less about a bonus for having a baby, it was our choice, not the taxpayers.

So how does this change from the previous arrangement?

If you get benefits (part A) then you'll get a bit more. If you don't get benefits then you won't get anything x

I did read it but it didn't say what the change was, or perhaps like most government things in this country, it just assumed we're all up to date with past and present benefits.

So in the nature of simplicity, do we get $2000 for rubbing' funnies?
