Dear God! I hope that they don't take to wearing baseball caps like William Hague did when he was trying to appeal to the yoof.

I'd say that a potential ban of the national flag is a pretty important issue.

From your own source, it's not been banned - it's a request.

But isn't it one of those kind of requests were they really do mean it is not allowed. A bit like the 'Please Do Not Smoke' signs that one used to see. Wasn't actually saying smoking wasn't allowed but that is what was really meant. Go back a few years a try lighting up in an area with one of those signs - you'd soon have someone coming over and saying that smoking isn't allowed!

At least the govt has responded to it, if it was in Britain I'm sure the Blair govt would have taken a different stance. :frown:

"The Australian flag has been banned from this year's Big Day Out in Sydney after organisers branded it a "gang colour" and symbol of hate."

They said it not me, they didn't specify exactly which gang it was.

Meanwhile the Serbian and Croatian flags; the Israeli flag and those of any arabic nation etc, etc can be taken into Melbourne Park. We know the Serbian and Croatian flags were used by gangs and as weapons.
