Australian Bankers Draft?
Hi all,
Does anyone know if there is an Australian version of a UK Bankers draft?
(that is already cleared and is almost like cash?)
I'm selling my furniture and the buyer would like to pay by cheque.
Cheers!

Yep, same thing - a bank cheque. Banks roughly charge about $10 to provide one.

I've always called it a bank cheque, not sure if they go by another name here. You can easily recognise it as it's a bespoke printed cheque with a perforated top - looks the same as a bankers draft so larger than a personal cheque and it has all the usual guarantee of funds etc on the reverse side.

I thought the title was "Australian Bankers DAFT?" to which the answer is of course yes.
