It was grudging but fair play to him, it must have been hard. Some of the comments after the story were childish and unfortunately reinforce the view that Aussies are pretty poor sports.

The observation that criticising the number of 'South Africans' in the team was hypocritical considering the Australian Olympic squad was a blindingly obvious fact that I never thought I'd hear an Aussie journalist utter.

Yes the hypocrisy when I hear that comment is amazing when you look at the number of 'imported' sports stars we have here.

I thought it more tongue in cheek than grudging. As for the childish comments, there were two out of 25. I guess it depends on how you feel about a place, as to how you read an article.

It's gonna be 2-2, series drawn.
Seriously, England are playing well and will probably be No.1 in a few weeks - and deserve it. Looking into the immediate future though and England do not have a winter tour coming up, so this series is the last test cricket for them this year. SA have 2 home series coming up against Australia and Sri Lanka. We will win both and be No.1 in January as I think Australia will beat India this summer.

Australian sports cricket journalist Gideon Haig actually supports England when it comes to Cricket.
