Australia - My honest opinions

Re: Australia - My honest opinions
$12.99 kg at our local Coles last weekend. We're in Perth's northern suburbs. 69c kg from the from UltraMart in Burlington Ontario. They're grown in Central America and shipped up to Canada. Just because it hasn't been done for a while, lettuce is about 79c a head even though it's the middle of winter there.

How on earth did I get better tasting peaches in the UK, when they had to fly them across the Atlantic or in from Israel, than I can here when they grow them up the road?.

funny, the old man just said the same thing! He bought me peaches as a treat on Monday and they weren't anywhere near ripe yet, so no taste. I went to have one today and they were freakin' mouldy!
