Of course. It's all the practical things as well:
On patrol, your unit rests up for 20mins to get something to eat and drink, have a crap etc. Which woman is going to take a shit in front of 30 blokes unless she's some kind of f**ked up German porn star? That's just one example.

I was in the KINGS for a while and also a Signals regiment. Certainly some of the Signals roles could be done by women, probably are already, but I'm not convinced about their place in an infantry regiment.

It will happen though. It will be interesting to see how Australia reacts, the first time it sees one of its female combat troops return home, with part of her face missing.
