The Aussie Wave

We discovered what this means today when we were cycling between Hillarys and Ocean Reef. The pesky things wouldn't leave us alone - especially our faces.

Is it because of al the sea weed on the beaches that there are so many flies near the beaches?

Probably sand-flies - basically midges. And they're near the beach because that's where they live. :)
