Here what is all these 4 boxes then you have to pick 6 numbers out of it, how do you check it against the 6 number they call out on Saturday, does 6 number comes out of one box, I really dont get it.:(
Also there are so many of them anybody out there can help me how it works.

It works like this. You go into a newsagent wanting to buy a newspapaer and a soft drink. You wait 5 minutes while the clueless arsehole in front of you tries to figure out if he wants a golden 5 or a lucky 10 or a treasure chest 12 and how much it costs and arrghhhhh:curse:

So you put your newspaper and soft drink back and walk out.

And you swear you'll never play the lotto.

I avoid newsagents that have all the lotto machines and scratches, cos they take forever to get served.

Yeah, well, then you'll be like all the other clueless people I get stuck behind in Newsagents:p

Just go in to your local newsagent, preferably when there is only one person serving, and have a 10 minute discussion with them about all the various lottos and scratchies available.

If you find the queue behind you hasn't grown long enough, you can then ask to sign up to one of the Lotto loyalty card schemes, which in themselves also seem designed to slow down every transaction. Make sure you get the details of the benefits of each and every card.

Once you have all the details, don't buy anything, just leave, and have a think about it. If still unsure, repeat the above.

Hope thats enough detail;)

I thought I should find out where your local news agent is & go ask how it works, just before you go in & get your paper. :p

Carberry has been kind enough, he is going to show me how it works, so hopefully I would win the Jackpot once I know what to do. :p

I was listening to a radio show a couple of weeks ago, where they had one of the Lotto marketing guys on. And they got him to admit that you had more chance of dying in a car crash driving 5 minutes to your local newsagents to buy a ticket, than actually winning the Lotto.

On the other hand, if you turn up with 10 tickets you know haven't won, and present them anyway to the newsagent to check them, and then ask for another 10 tickets, and then present your 'Lotto loyalty card' or whatever that card is they all use, you are 100% certain to piss off everyone behind you who just wants to buy a pint on milk or a newspaper.

Still no harm delaying people for 2 minutes while you play a pointless game is there? :curse:

Well except the problem is a couple of hundred thousand people play it, and delay probably 1 million people queueing behind them, and they just want a quick transaction at the newsagent instead of being stuck behind someone trying to work out which lotto to lose their money on, so thats 2 million minutes of wasted time.

Around where I live, most of the newsagents and Deli's that operate a Lotto counter, have them separate from the routine business they provide. So really the only hassle with someone unable to decide which scratchie to get, only prevents other scratchie or lotto ticket buyers a problem.

Nope, here there is one person serving in a newsagent and 100,000 clueless lotto players.

The only part I enjoy is knowing that they are wasting $10, or $20 or even $50 a week.

But then again, these are probably the same idiots who will retire penniless and expect the state to provide for them, cos they never won the lotto.
