Put your prediction here. I say Australia to pip it 2-1 with two games drawn because of bad weather etc... Hope it's a cracker, whichever team wins. |

Re: Ashes 2010 thread. Who's gonna win?
I'm neutral and I'm going for the drawn series.
Australia look suspect in key areas - middle order batting and spin bowling. Emgland's bowling does not look that great either - if Anderson is the best they can do...... Swann looks like the real deal though - I reckon he is the key for England. |

Re: Ashes 2010 thread. Who's gonna win?
Doesnt really matter who wins he rsult will be the same:
The Australian press will, if Australia are victorious, hail them as heros sportingly working their honest toil in the sun against the cheating underhand lowlife English. the English press will merely report business as usual - English team are a bunch of losers who never had a chance of winning in Australia. If the English win, the Australian press will have a field day talking about how their brave boys never stood a chanced against such unsporting opposition (Not sure exactly what crimes the English will be *obviously* guilty of his time - but there's bound tobe somehing - and no doubt the umpires are all in cahoots too). The English press will report business as usual - English continued dominance over a much weakened Australian team who bear no resemblence whatsoever to the feared sides of old. |

I backing Australia like I always do :p
It'll be interesting for me this year, being in the UK for half of the matches and in Aus for the other half, just to see what the difference in commentary is :D I'm not going to any ashes matches this year, but I am going to the T20 in Adelaide in January  |

Yer average critic is invariably a low-life parasite feeding on talent. What matters to me is do I have bragging rights at the end of the series amongst the real fans of the game and how many times a week is too often to use them? :D |

I thought Richie had retired completely. It was good to hear him on the tele during the Sri Lanka games. Even if his is part French. I love him.
Is that plebs tele (that I have) or on cable? It is being covered by TV of the highest Plebian rating ... Channel 9. Cable? Pah! Pay For TV?! Double Pah! |
