Default Argghhh bloody Teenagers !!

Son has come home from school, he is 17 and a real nice lad. Never whinges, but...

He leaves school in about 4 or 5 weeks, having completed his HS'doodahh.. so fingers crossed on results.. he wants a few months off, and then its either tafe or uni...

but..

He has decided he wants a car, and he has been saving since he was out of nappies..

So we said , if you buy a new car we will try and up your savings, so you can get a new car..

My view is a nice sexy little Suzy Swift...

I am not sure he is into these, and welcome any suggestions...

other options I have seen mentioned by him are a BMW 1 , lol !! as if !!
erm.. a mazda 3 .. and a Yaris thing..

Any ideas , welcomed please... or should we just buy him a Annual Buspass !!!

Hi I've got a Yaris, great nippy little thing, so good on fuel BUT I really want a Suzuki Swift. Typical women I guess ( sorry to all the females out there )

I've got a lovely BMW 1 series which has only done 15000 miles in 3 years. I was going to sell it, but I can fling it in the container for your son if you want! Trouble is, you'll have to get it from Adelaide. LOL.

The Yaris is supposed to be a very good little car in it's class - one of the best. Personally, I would go for the Swift though - nice looking little things that they are!

I've got a new Corolla, and when it went in the other day for modification, they gave me a Yaris for the day.

I thought the Yaris was a great car, and automatic transmission was very easy in city traffic.

BUT, getting back in the Corolla was like getting in a tank compared to the Yaris (and on consideration i prefered the manual gears), so given that teenagers in cars are prone to excitable driving habits you might like consider it on safety grounds.

And if you're considering a Mazda 3, the Corolla is in the same price bracket...
