Everybody to their own I suppose, but for me, they sound as if he's rubbing a cheese grater on his kn*b-end !!
Sorry mate, but not a patch on Oasis.

There a good new fresh band and I think the gig will be right lively
My original question was asking what time do they come on stage so I know what time to leave the pub! Cus there's 4 bands playing the same night and the Arctics are the ones I'm most interested in. I like the album.

Re: Arctic Monkeys
Ok, Arctic Monkeys & Oasis, I love em both!
I haven't seen Oasis for years now, but see em at Knebworth twice which was good, but just too big! I preferred them at the Forum in Kentish Town, The Astoria in the West End, and at the Hammersmith Palais, now they were intimate TOP gigs!!
Arctic Monkeys I love. Only been into them for a few months, but VERY refreshing! 4 young lads from Sheffield who's music got about on the internet and they had people singing all their songs at gigs before an album was released!
Tickets for a UK tour in April sold out in minutes, and for example, the £16 tickets for the Brixton Academy gig in London are currently going for £100 each on eBay (check!)
I was lucky enough to obtain 2 tickets to see them a few weeks ago in Sheffield. The Leadmill was the venue, and the capacity was 900! I don't think you'll ever have the chance to see them in such an intimate venue again.
I took me daughter who also loves them and we both moshed in the 'mosh pit' for the duration ...lol
Going to see them in a week or so again as part of the NME tour. This time in Cambridge which I've been told is a 2,000 capacity venue!
Can't wait!
Oh and cos of the NME tour bit, they do about 50 mins I think I was told it was. It did go quick. No encore and last song I think was A Certain Romance.
I spose it that sense they ARE like Oasis. They too never did an encore and once you heard 'I am the Walrus' you knew it was the last song!!

So who's that girl there?
I wonder what went wrong
So that she had to roam the streets
Answer - She's a Prostitute.

And what a scummy man
Just give him half a chance
I bet he'll rob you if he can
Answer - The pimp.
You get the picture ...lol, but personally i think they're the best thing since sliced bread, and I love my music! ...
I think they'll be around for ages, there's far too much interest at the mo.
they've said they won't do TV and appear on early Saturday shows and all that. the music will sell itself.
I said about how everyone sings all their songs at the gigs even tho the album hadn't been released, and the stuff was on the net.
Well 2 stories to this one.
1) A demo got copied and shared on the net
or
2) THEY put the stuff out there and it spread over the net quick, as it does.
Now either way, I've got clips of the gig they did at The Astoria in October 2005 and as they said "this is the first time we've played in London" ... yet at points in the concert the singer stops singing and its like the WHOLE crowd are singing the words!
Not bad I reckon for a band that at that time had released a 2 track CD.
Am I obsessed ?!?! ....lol
They're just good ...

My mate couldn't come and I've just sold her £15 ticket for over £60 on ebay - did you see the queues outside Wolvo Civic yesterday? They weren't doing internet sales only in person and a 2 per person limit!
I'm sure it was you that told me you was going before - what time do the Monkeys actually come on stage?
Last NME tour I went to The Killers headlinedd - bloody fantastic gig. I love the Academy venues, doesn't matter where you stand you're well close. You can get right up the front.

There was talk about The Monkeys being 3rd on the bill, but was worried that everyone will leave after them ...lol, and I guess that could happen, but I'm sure they'll headline all the gigs ...... gotta!
Enjoy the gig! ...
