Default Anyone know anything about the pub being built at Currambine ?

I do hope it'll be nice.

And not another soulless edifice with overly-loud music.

I believe that it's owned by the same people who have the Cornerstone in Butler and the Whale and Ale in Clarkson, so expect much the same as those places I would suggest

My guess is that it will be full of Pommies in football shirts. It will almost certainly be shit. If it is deemed necessary to have bouncers on the door I won't be going, same if it's more than $10 a pint.

If it's anything like the Whale and Ale, I'll be happy. Not a bad boozer to have on your doorstep and I'm led to believe that the food is pretty good there as well

Do they have happy hours? Because if I can get a decent pint for about $5 I'll go.

Oh dear. My first comment was actually referring to those very two pubs.

Still. Can't judge a book by the cover, so I'll give it a go.

Fingers crossed.

Can't comment on the Cornerstone, as I've never been, but I was was pleasantly surprised with the whale

Well, I went the other week on a Saturday night and it was fine. Well, not much atmosphere, but loads of people eating and a half decent singer on.

I'd go again. 'though I didn't see if they had a big screen/Foxtel. Might tempt me back on a regular basis now that the Bluebirds are in the premiership next season.
