Here under protest!
It's a 5 year max thing, then back to Scotland.
Not really enjoying myself either, circumstances will improve I know that and then I will be less down in the dumps, but very hard to shake the feeling that my life is on hold for 5 years.
It's been a big financial f__k up for as well.

Here originally as it was hubbys dream at first loved it then after honeymoon period hated it with a vengence.
So homesick but Mark never ever got it and settled immediatley.
i found it so hard to adjust but almost 3 years later I would never return to UK love my life here and have so many good friends and a fab social life.
It takes time to adjust with me I think it was about a year.
Im so very glad I stuck it out as my life is so much more better now in terms of family time, social time and work.

Ooh sorry to hear that - you sound really fed up.
5 years is a long time to have your life on hold - hope things get better for you soon.
Its interesting to hear your viewpoint, I think many people go over their thinking the grass in greener and all that.
K- sent.
