Anyone else confused?
 
Im desperate to get my family out of the UK but I change my mind about the location so often! Im no confused. Usually im all for OZ but then go through phases of NZ. Looked at many other places too, even Canada but dont fancy the winters!

Im I alone in feeling like this? I don't think that it helps that my husband's job isn't really in demand in either OZ or NZ.....

I just want to give my children the very best shot at life. Ive never been happy in the UK, can't explain why, just always had the feeling like i didn't belong, possibly coz I had a non british mother :confused:

having a hard time here with people? i.e snottyness, attitude, rudeness etc

Well yes there is a fair amount of that i guess but im sure you get that attitude everywhere. I really can't put my finger on why ive never been happy here :confused:

nah,your not alone - i have felt like that for many years now and im as yorkshire as they come.
was ok til i started traveling, then once i got the wanderlust bug i was hooked - home never really felt like home any more, still doesnt and its been 12+ years since i last travelled, (although on saying that me, oh and 3 kids did come to aus last may/june for a holiday :D )

Why don't you come over and have a look? We had the same dilemma, couldn't decide if NZ or Oz was right for us. We had a holiday in 2006 and looked at both. Still couldn't decide. We applied for and received both visas. Went to NZ and were there a couple months, then came to Oz and have been here a couple of months (DH has job here). We still can't decide where is right for us! LOL

A lot of folks on here who have tried both come down very heavily in favour of Oz but we don't see it so black and white.

If you don't like a cold winter, NZ may not be for you. Although if you ski, it just might. :)

Nothing wrong with trying. But you may find alot of Scots unhappy in OZ too. Coming to Oz or NZ is no guarantee of a better life.

Im a registered childminder and my husband is a senior computer engineer - harware rather than software which is where our problem is.

Trouble is, we can't afford a holiday! We have family in NZ (my hubby's aunt and her family) who have lived there for over 50 years who love living in NZ. I think it's purely the weather that attracts me to OZ, Ive got Arthritis and cant stand the pain i get every winter living here In Scotland. It's not so much the cold, it's the damp that bothers me. If its just cold im fine!
