He pulled off the wide rubber strip at the bottom of the driver's side window, inserted a coat hanger with a hook at the bottom [my contribution], jiggled a bit [the wire, not his body], and hey presto, open door. I had to restrain myself from throwing myself at him in gratitude. But as I had my dressing gown on and my teeth out, I decided a polite I love you was sufficient.
