Any expats follow aussie rules?
The aussie rules grand final was on not long after I arrived here and I though, you know, when in Rome and all that, and settled on the sofa with a few VBs. I watched odd matches on Sky back home, but didn't really understand the rules. When the grand final was on I decided to shout for Sydney Swans (same colours as Arsenal - don't judge - and Sydney is as much as a home town to my wife as her actual home town in NSW) and actually quite enjoyed the match.
I'll shout for the wife's rugby league team when that season starts, but I'm quite looking forward to the Aussie rules too. Anyone else?
Arsenal... penalty... one-nil YES COME ON!

I find watching Afl games live to be much more rewarding than the tv malarkey but to be honest Nrl games are much more exciting to watch me thinks

I don't mind a bit of Aussie rules and have been to a few Giants games (which are very family friendly, almost too sterile!).
I cannot get in to AFL properly though, especially now I have my own football team the Western Sydney Wanderers
Rugby League is a ***** game hyped up by the media here.

Cant stand AFL or aerial ping pong or indeed soccer. Proper Rugby is the only ball game worth watching.

Being a former Geelong boy I am amazed by the way they are there when it comes to the Cats, my sister in law is an absolute fanatic and my brother is as disinterested as I am which makes things interesting match day

No different to most ALF clubs, I have found that the Collingwood fans are a lot worse.

I enjoy the full game (in person is always better than in front of tv) of AFL. League and Union. I also love football

I follow the Aussie Rules. Not going to tell you who I support 'cos you'll bung rocks through my windows.

I'd rather watch My Kitchen Rules.
Which I will do only under duress if someone is holding a knife to my testicles threatening the life of my daughter if I don't watch it.
AFL is OK for the kids but as a sport?!
