Anglo Pacific

Hi just a word of caution we have just had our house packed up in a 20ft container for shipment from the UK to Brisbane Australia. This is the 4th overseas move we have done and we have never had a problem till now. We used Anglo Pacific for this move and would recommend anyone looking to use them to be very careful. They sent contractors who turned up 4 hours late with 2 men instead of the promised 3 and packed us up in a great hurry then could not get over 200 cubic feet of good in the container which has been in twice before and now are charging us £1400 for there inability to do the job done by 2 other companies before. Customer care has been zero So please be careful who you use. Also BAR are useless there is no one home there proving what a tin pot organization they are to.

Bit of a Pathetic company really from what I've heard ;) Wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole.

Hi, there can be many pitfuls with forwarders in UK, they key is if you have quote in writing and it is in depth then you can claim refunds for parts they did not carry out, happy to help or advise from UK side if you want
Cheers

We moved out to Oz 5 years ago with Anglo Pacific. Everything that go go wrong went wrong. They did a lot of damage and then claimed it was not covered by our insurance. Too much hazzle to go to court over it so they got off Scot free.

One of their Directors, guy called John Payne, posted on here a few times after numerous posters complained about them. He has never responded to most of the complainants though

One of my Aussie friends in work gave me a copy of TNT and I noticed AP had recurring adverts all the way through the mag. I'll try one of the others advertisers now.

this is wrong they should be pro-active as it could effect future sales, look at this message, it is better to be honest about mistakes and rectify as best as poss as it leads to a better chance of future biz, we all make mistakes but its how its sorted that really people remember, still think you could do something here :)

Re: Anglo Pacific

I guess we were just lucky, then. We used AP 18 months ago, and had absolutely no problems whatsoever. Everything was done on time and to the letter. No breakages to speak of, no extra charges no unexpected (bad) suprises. In fact, the only problem we had was that our container was a little late reaching Freo. But that wasn't AP's fault. It was down to a cyclone. But hey, you're always going to get people who have experience both good and bad about any company.

Re: Anglo Pacific

That's very true. Our container arrived on time but we have MASS breakages and the items that should be part of our overspill are in the container meaning things like mugs, glasses, duvets, my son's cotbed have not made it.....and won't be here for a while!

There are loads of other little problems too but as you say many people have had no problems at all.
