If you shop online you pay delivery costs on top, they aren't included in the prices of items you buy.
Mrs Beoz has been doing the shopping online through Coles for about 6 months (she finally came to her senses). Originally there was a $10 delivery fee but she said that it has now been scrapped. She also said every shop they seem to throw in a random item here and there to tempt you to buy it again, plus there is also some money off thing going on. Last shop she said they gave us $20 the shop.

Second hand word here. I have no involvement in the grocery shopping.

BTW Plenty of 'Prime Day' based wins to be had, here and from the UK. I've got my sis sending things that can be only got in the UK, we'll see if the customs throws a wobbly (they shouldn't).

Could you find out which Coles she is using?! It is possible to avoid delivery fees with both Coles & Woolies if you order enough, and there are always special offers going but I've never had freebies!

At present, Aus Post values Amazon goods higher than it's Express platinum. IE: If there are a few Amazon Missorts that turn up late and a couple of Express Platinum and not enough resources, the Amazon comes first.

BTW We are getting same-day express delivery in some circumstances now from the CBD areas of Sydney, Adelaide and Hobart

The man hates competition and he hates changing his business model.

I like to see him squirm.

Indeed. I was recently in the market for a new washing machine (existing machine had packed up). I went to The Good Guys, Retravision, JB, Appliances Online and DJs online (who I eventually bought from) to compare. I never even considered HN - basically because Gerry is a knob jockey

They have some decent price cuts today for Black Friday, though still not at where Amazon should be.

In a surprise to few, the underwhelming auspost attempt at doing subscription shipping - shipster - is going to be undelivered from the end of July.

https://auspost.com.au/shipster/

Nobody in the news seems to have noticed at all ...

Apparently Point Cook has the highest rate of parcel delivery per head of population in the whole of Australia. Must be a hell of a lot of delivery vans out your way.

What have you been buyng Garry?

BTW there are well over 2000 of these trikes on order about to be rolled out and will be replacing motor cycles over the next 2 years. The Posties prefer them as they are safer and offer some protection from the elements.... they've passed the trials and here they come.
