Amazing service

Have to share this with you to restore your faith in OSPost and British Passports.

Having had the misfortune of losing my British Passport after 3 months in OZ I set about getting a C1 filled in and finding a signatory for the form.Took my forms off to Kawana PO on the Sunshine coast on 17th March and off it went.Thinking it would take about 4-6 weeks the latter due to it being a replaccement for lost passport and to my surprise, the postie delivered it this morning 2 weeks exactly. How good is that ?

Have to say that while I wasn't impressed (as usual) with the Aus Post end of the operation, it only took two weeks to get my UK passport processed in Feb :)

Although they go to NZ now I think pretty soon ALL (worldwide applications) UK passports are getting 'done' back in the UK...is that right???

Hadn't heard that but I suppose its possible. Not that long since they cut down the number of places for processing worldwide like Aus goes to NZ, a lot of eastern Europe go to Turkey I believe, and I think the US go to Canada - much less centres than there used to be anyway.

Pretty good. I know aussie passports come through real quick too.

Had a weird expereince with passport photos at Kawana, one of the sons is very blonde and they kept getting photos of him looking like he was haunting something:lol:, then he looked like a stoner:lol: Photos were utterly useless, then they wanted to charge me for 2 sets of useless photos.
