AFL Final Richmond v Adelaide Crows
First time in 37 years I'm actually looking forward to watching the final.
Reason being I think this one will probably have a decent atmosphere and a very close contest.... Unless Adelaide gets the jump, which could well happen. The Richmond army is in for one hell of a surprise me thinks with 30K Adelaide crows fans coming over. I wouldn't be surprised if the atmosphere in the ground is actually weighted towards Adelaide. I do realise only 17K can get in but those Adelaide fans are the closest thing to UK type support you get in Aus. Yehp this years AFL final is actually worth a close look. |

The beauty of AFL is the scoreboard is always ticking over and a team can come from behind (well behind) several times in a quarter and you need a huge buffer in q4 to guarantee a win. The scoring system rewards accuracy as in soccer : its just that soccer scores don't count the chances towards points. I was delighted for the Doggies and equally delighted for Richmond. 2 good series. |
