Is it possible to run a 4 way extension lead with UK plugs on (for welder, grinder etc) with an Ozzy plug in the wall??
Can i run a 16 AMP compressor on domestic single Phase in Oz??

This'll just save me having all my plugs changed in my Garage of Justice!!!

I have used the strategy you propose on numerous occasions when travelling around the world, and as an electrical engineer can confrim that as long as the protective device, the fuse, you use is appropriate then everything will be fine.

But, and theres always a but, I am pretty sure that should an insurance claim need be made you would invalidate your claim if the approach you had taken was spotted, even if it was not even the cause.
