Ugandan Asians were allowed into the UK in 1972 not because the UK "realised they had made a mistake" but because they had British passports. What 'mistake' do you think the UK had made, that resulted in Indians being expelled from Uganda?. From what I remember they were expelled because the Africans thought the Asians had too much financial control over their country. Not sure how that's the UK's 'fault'.
