Looks like you've just answered it there but you hadn't before. So you're saying its a waste of money. The high court agree with you but the government, as highlighted in that article as working it's way around the high court by removing the funding for schools who won't use a religious chaplain instead of a trained counsellor. So I'm guessing you disagree with this policy from this government but are more in favour of the previous governments policy of allowing the school to choose?

What's it got to do with you who I voted for? I've already explained that I'm unrepresentative in parliament.

Financially, how has this government done a better job? Surely we would see an improvement if thatwas the case? Yet, we're seeing faster spending but in different areas that don't focus on the average Australian's quality of life. If you approve of their current performance, I believe that's idiotic.

Maybe they are toying with you on the chaplains :) They did that with the poorly presented but in detail, excellent budget. Though they did sprout the idea of messing with university funding which is not a good idea in my opinion but hey, there was lots of plans thrown on the table so not agreeing with one area is not a bad thing of the grand total.

I've already given you an answer on the chaplains. If you don't like the answer your problem, not mine.

Who did you vote for in the last election? Come on we can't take you seriously without an answer.

Voting is anonymous for a reason.

You didn't answer my question and I believe I know why. You said what you had in school and believed it was a good service. What you can't do is say simply 'I disagree with what this government are doing' because for some very immature reason, you have picked your side and that is that.

Do you agree with direct action? And please, answer that question directly instead of just telling us how you disagreed with the previous government. You're allowed to think outside the box.

If you're referring to who I voted for, you must be wondering who's side I'm on. I've explained, I don't have a side as I don't believe politics should be treated like football rivalry. I've stated this many times. I've also said I'm not represented in parliament which should tell you that my vote didn't go to an elected minister.

Amen for that. Right the environment policy. OK so the carbon tax was a joke. In fact penalties are a joke full stop. All they do is line the coffers rather than providing incentives. Nukes should be considered.

Exactly.

There is only one reason to insist on a religious chaplain - you know they won't keep religion out of it, but are instead there to convert. To then go against the courts and force through funding increases specifically for religious chaplains - and cut CSIRO funding to a smaller amount at the same time.

There are few words that describe just how evil that is.

It was a complete cockup of a budget. Not only was it ill thought out, not only did it give money to areas that didn't need it and take it from key areas of importance. It was also setup to funnel money to their doners.

As per usual, the only saving grace is their evil is only matched by their incompetence - and much of it couldn't go through.

Meanwhile their lack of support for jobs is creating a REAL black hole in the finances - and that incompetence is going to come back to bite.

Carbon tax was a right wing policy, one that abbott championed till he worked out he could flip flop and get Turnbull's job.

I've always preferred centrally imposed changes and limits (eg shut down brown coal now).

Anyone should be allowed to build any power system that will make money - as long as it is not subsidised by the consumer or taxpayer (as in roof top solar). The only exception to this should be nuclear given the massive construction costs and national security implications (but when up and running, nuclear is ultra-cheap to run)

Wind power is a ridiculous idea given the massive subsidies it requires and its inefficient nature - as Germany is now finding out. Saying that, from my uni research, solar is on the verge of becoming genuinely cost effective - with no need for subsidies

I consider myself socially right-wing but if anything, politically, I am a fraction left of centre.

In fact I am a classic Liberal in someways. Almost in the Whig sense.
