Default '80's party inspiration...

I've been invited to an 80's fancy dress party next saturday...

I need a cheap, easy costume. Anyone got any suggestions?

Large shoulder pads in a double breasted jacket. Leggings and shoes the same colour as your top. Preferably sea green. Give yourself some wild Cyndi Lauper hair and very spangly eye makeup. Lots of chunky bangle bracelets in plastic to match the outfit. You're good to go.

A snorkel, shattered mask, bit fake blood and a speedboat stuck in the top of your head and you could go as Kirsty MacColl bet nobody else would think of that....

Thanks Dorothy.... Great ideas.

I didn't dress like that in the '80's so finding it hard to remember what the hell people wore then!

I bounced this off some Aussie friends tonight and they were asking who Kirsty was.

Don't want to spend the whole night explaining myself...
