vash you can still get bbc radio ont tinternet when you come back!

what i actually miss:
1) faggots peas and chips (preceded by 16 pints of lager)
2) a good solid jacket potato with loads of butter, tuna and cottage cheese (yes i've tried to replicate it but it just dont work)
3) dashing out at 10pm on a saturday night to get a curry and be back in time for match of the day - and watching match of the day
4) slide tackles - over 35's football does not permit slide tackles (also if its raining the game might be called off so fairs fair)
5) my friends (but they're all ugly) my family (they're all up-the-duff) and my audi a4 - i live in a big town and theres as many 4x4's (if you say that the aussies laugh as its a piece of wood) as i've seen in kensington. i suppose those kerbs in waitrose/coles car park can be a bit steep.

You get first prize for listing "faggots" as something you miss from the UK...

Here is my top five list of things I miss.....

1... My eldest son
2... Tesco's
3... Central heating
4... Family and friends
5... Sky TV....

I wish I could just transport myself back for a day at 'home'....
Having breakfast with my son, a trip to tescos getting all my favourite food and a bar of galaxy chocolate. Walking in the house when its all warm. My best mate and my mum popping round for coffee and a chat, then a nice relaxing evening watching Eastenders, CSI and anything else that takes my fancy....ahhhh.

Um, now I've found Hellman's Mayo in Coles, I really don't miss anything.

Although actually, what I miss really is familiarity... with brands and prices etc. But that's only temporary.

And 'stenders, too. My father (an English ex-pat) was a bit of a 'stenders fan himself.
