Re: 2 in 1 laptop

When my wife's laptop started to get too clunky, I bought her an iPad. Best decision ever

For the most part, she uses it to browse the internet, play games and read/listen to books. Ideal for that and it doesn't get bogged down with loads of bloatware and viruses (virii?). You can get bluetooth keyboards for them if needed and Office 365 is also available.

She used to get really frustrated at the speed of the laptop and I was always having to clean s#!t up on it. Now I rarely get any complaints about the iPad.

Will this one be any good does we think ?

Apparently she needs something that can use a usb stick but doesn't need microsoft office for it as she accesses her desk top at work via Citrix for whatever she has to do . Other than that it's just basic browsing photos and general useage of tinternet

Also has to be light weight

Looks better, but still seems a little anaemic when compared to Windows demands. Screen resolution is particularly low.

The new Samsung Tab S4 launches today with a claim of targeting tablet + desktop needs. Not sure if the price will be reasonable, but might be worth a look. IIRC Citrix can be accessed via Chrome? So Chromebooks should also be possibles.

Nor does my Windows PC or Android phone.

She's given up the dodgy websites then?

Not bad but the 64GB is no great shakes. The processor is not very powerful but about right for a device at this cost point

OK, I thought I would try and put this to bed by finding something good. I thought I had a Ryzen one, but it turned out to be US pricing. Eventually I came up with

Dell Latitude 13 3000 (3379) Review: A Better Business Class Notebook

Only dual core and integrated graphics, but i5 skylake and a known brand. Take a look and see what you think.
