Ive had my license suspended before but it took 3 years to lose all 12 points. |
Re: 12 points for speeding...
I basically drive around like an old woman now. Can't have any more points as a JP or have to turn myself in for not being a pillar of the community.
Maybe I'll get a nice cardie for winter :frown: |

My old Magna only gets up to 100. Shame because I live at 106.
Have to sayI once got nine points over here, Doing 33mph in 30mph, 44mph in a 40mph and another similar offence. Luckily as i got my last three points my first were about to come off. I know speeding is speeding.... But that really pissed me off! All three cases were caught as i was coming into a different speed zone as i was slowing down, Obv not quickly enough:o So maybe i have a bit of sympathy! |

Re: 12 points for speeding...
I read about a guy who got three months jail for a parking offence. He parked on top of a traffic warden!

You don't have to go far over the speed limit to be caught out. He may not have been going that fast albeit over the limit.
I've had cars up my arse getting annoyed and in some circumstances I've seen that following the limit has caused major tail backs:rolleyes: The speed limits over here are ridiculously slow. Yes it's the law and no no one should speed. However it is easily done. To the OP: Was this accumulative points and was it in the car or is this a play on words and you were on a race track:lol: |
Re: 12 points for speeding...
apply to the court for an extraordinary licence if you do cop a ban, ie a licence that will allow you to drive to and from work, pick the kids up etc between certain times.
If you do get one, dont drive outwith the times set by the court! Many do! Ive caught a few ;-) Say no more! :fingerscrossed: you wont need one tho! |

Re: 12 points for speeding...
Yeah I had the pleasure of living right next to NSW highest revenue-earning speed cameras. Currently on my push bike.
Doh! |

Yup, can't have more than 2 offences current on your record or you turn yourself in. Annoyingly I am sat on 2 x 1pt infringements. I wouldn't mind but there's no limit to what the offences can be and I regret them not being much more interesting than being done for a couple of k's over by some jobsworth.
Whilst I love living in Aus and couldn't imagine living anywhere else, Aussie bureaucracy and the nanny state stinks:thumbdown: You are doing a great job for the general public as a JP, and for a couple of K's over and a few measly points you could lose this status. Craaaazy:rolleyes: |
