Default Speaking of work permits...

I am married to a Bajan and due to get my citizenship papers in February, my son just got his this past February. I keep thinking that for a company to hire me now and go through all of the work permit stuff would be too much trouble, when I am going to get my citizenship within the next 6-7mos anyway...any ideas? P.S. I do have an in demand profession.
