Default Residency : criminal record of minor offences

Has anyone been (or know of anyone who has been) granted residency in Barbados when they have a criminal record of minor offences commited over 12 years ago; shoplifting and a driving offence?

This question is also relevent to work permit acceptance.

Eagerly awaiting a reply.

Thanx, Maxtor

All I know is that for a work permit, if you have been in BB more than 6 months, you can provide a Police Certificate of Character from your local precinct here. If you want a work permit straightaway you need one from your home precinct. I always thought that minor offenses were were expunged after a certain amount of time, I guess I have been watching too much Law and Order.
