Recruitment agencies in Barbados?
 

Hi

I've just discovered this forum which is a mountain of information!

I'm considering relocating back to Barbados, however employment is a must! (I'm British of Bajan parents, was educated in Bim and moved back to the UK 20 years ago so have a Bajan passport, ID & driving licence).

Can anyone advise if there are any recruitment agencies that I can register with in Barbados? Are there any good websites that I should be keeping an eye on?

to my knowledge there are either none, or a very few number of any type of recruitment agencies. PricewaterhouseCoopers used to have a website with local and regional jobs, but I don't think they do anymore.

Also.. what type of work are you looking for as that may help steer in the right direction.

at least you have the bottom line covered.. Passport, ID etc.. step one is done...

Thanks for your response. I currently work in trust admin in the UK but previously did office admin and legal secretarial as well so at this stage, I am pretty flexible. I am also considering whether it would be worthwhile looking into the other offshore jurisdictions to continue in the trust field.

It does help to have the bottom line covered as you say - when I was younger I really didn't appreciate having all of this sorted out (seemed a pointless hassle) but I am very grateful now!

Many thanks to Jalal94 and CarlHnz for your posts. After my initial post, I did a google search and came across these myself but as I'm not sure how good these are, I was hoping to have some personal recommendations if at all possible!

Not sure but I heard a lot about http://www.bestaffplus.com/ guess not cheap but they are good sending info about legislation, employment, budged change to their email list... The Business & Employment Centre Barbados

Hi,

My partner is in a similar situation to GFA and although friends and relatives are happy to assist him with finding work, he would like to be as independent as possible!

I was wondering if anyone had had any success with the Island agencies?

I am currently looking for employment in Barbados as well. I have 8 years experience and have an MBA in Marketing. I have gained status in Barbados, so I can work and live in the country. Any help with Job referrals would be greatly appreciated.
