Ocean Park closing on 31st August
Just had an email to members re the above...
Dear Members
Due to overwhelming financial pressures, Ocean Park will be closing its doors on 31 August. We have not been able to complete the conversion plan from very high cost saltwater displays to freshwater or terrestrial exhibits which was hoped to put the Park on a viable path forward.
As part of this plan, we had already been seeking a new home for the stingrays and sharks. We are very happy that the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, UK will be re-locating these animals to their first class facility.
Please be assured that all other fish and animals that remain at the Park will be cared for diligently while our position is assessed and any further arrangements are made.

I haven't been yet! Was planning to when come over in September but alas will no longer be there

Ugh...and no mention of the big chunk of change that I plunked down in April for the year. I am really disappointed as is the little man.

My 2 love OP, they will be very sad.
Have not told them yet, must have a trip there before it closes its doors...
