Rant time

Ladies: visualize with me.

You are out at a restaurant. The food is good, the wine is tasty, the conversation light. You politely excuse yourself from the table for a quick trip to the ladies' room. You enter and close the door behind you. You go to hang your purse from the hook on the door... except there isn't one there. Ever.

Not a single hook on a public washroom door in this entire island! No shelf, usually, either. So you are relegated to one of the following options:
a) put purse on the floor (EW!!!)
b) try to balance purse on your lap (oops, there goes my lipstick, to its watery grave)
c) perch purse on top of toilet paper dispenser (hope purse has a good sense of balance)
d) leave purse and all its important contents at the table with your friends

I think the best option I have found so far is "leave purse at home entirely and let someone else pay." :rofl:

If there is an answer to the "no hook" conundrum, ladies, please relieve my suffering! Purses across Barbados unite!

hahahahaha.. that is soo true.. I try to perch mine on the back of the toilet, if there is one, or on the paper despenser, or just keep it on my shoulder or around my neck..

I would say def leave your purse at home and let someone else pay!

Only other alternative is to use some of the paper and make a bed on the floor to rest it on I guess...

I knew this would happen.

I have to eat my words.

Tonight, at dinner (Il Forno in Hastings), I went into the lovely restroom, and there, in front of me, was the most glorious, shining, magnificent hook I have ever seen on a restroom door. I nearly wept with joy. My purse grabbed that hook with its strong strap and swayed proudly, as if on display.

That's one.
