Moving to barbados

Hi all,
I recently posted but forgot to ask a couple of other questions...
How is the health care system in barbados? Is it really expensive?
Do we need to take out medical insurance or how does it work?
Also; myself and my husband would be planning on our third child next year and want to know how good is the care that is received in the hlspitals. Both of my previous pregnancies had complications so I need to decide if it's best to have another child here in the UK or if the care in barbados is really good standard...

regarding healthcare.. I would strongly encourage insurance and a private care doctor. you can spend hours at polyclinics and never be seen.. and as you are not Bajan, I'm not sure how this would work for you.

I've had all 3 of my children at Bayview hospital and would say I received excellent care, however.. If you are prone to complications, you may want to take that into consideration.. discuss it with your doctor in the UK and consider it with a doctor here as well.

Thank you very much for your reply...is it easy to find a private care doctor in barbados? What are polyclinics?
