Internet bandwidth (residential)
 

Hello all!
Are home internet access speeds in Barbados comparable with North America or Europe?

Is it fast enough for:
- email
- general browsing
- streaming (eg netflix)
- interactive media

I have looked online at a couple of service providers and maximum download/upload speeds seem fine, but I have also heard that service can be 'sporadic', with little bandwidth.

Also, are unlimited downloads the norm or are there caps?

I have a LIME service...

It is definitely fast enough for all, and more, of what you want to do...

Of course you may see clitches on a stream.. but that is not neccessarily due to the line speed here... it can be congestion anywhere in the circuit...

My service is completely unlimited.....
