I wouldn't call myself an eco-warrior, but even I find Supercentre importing Waitrose bananas pretty obscene...

It's frightening. I'm assuming that they were shipped from the Caribbean, packed, then air freighted back.

Carbon footprint anyone?

stupid really.. however.. we get banana's, when in season, from my sister-in-law.. but of course they aren't as "pretty" as the ones in the market.. but taste good.. or better...
