Default Health care in Barbados

I have been granted Work and Reside status in Barbados. I'm British and my husband is Bajan. Does anyone know if I now qualify for free health care, the same as if I were a local, once I get my ID card and number etc.? Or, do I have to wait a few years until I get my citizenship before I'm eligible for the same benefits as a Barbadian?

You should be able to get your Healthcare as a national once you have your ID card - but personally I would pay for my private care

Enjoy
