Furniture needed
 

Hi, we have just secured an unfurnished property for rental - where on earth do I go to get furniture?! The stores here are soooo expensive so ideally looking for quality secondhand. Any ex pats moving home and selling up? Please let me know!

if you are on Facebook and in Barbados already there are several online Buy Sell groups where you might find furniture. For used, some will still be higher than what you would pay for used, but it's still better than paying full price.

that aside.. for new.. just to say that sooo expensive is par for the course, but take take the price you would pay for new at home and times it by 4.. it's likely what you are paying in Barbados dollars. (roughly). Shipping, takes etc rolled into one.

I got all my stuff at yard/garage sales..check out the listings in the Nation its the only way to get some bargains.

Just beware about bed bugs while buying second hand furniture. They are quite common in Barbados, although people prefer not to speak about the problem.
