Just interested what made you move away from Kent and England and do you regret it?

In England 200 thou mortgage, stress, parking issues, never seeing the little un.
France here homeowner outright,. no banking issues, it doesnt get dark till 8 9 even in the winter it Snows real snow. In the summer its hot and most importantly Beer is cheap and the food is good

Yes that does sound rather tempting!
France is such a big country and there are more places to get out of the rat race! I'm totally with you, England sinking as far as I'm concerned, it's become a consumer led society! I shan't be long out the door myself going to try a few places before I settle but France (and I take it you're more down SW way?) was one place I had thought to settle, not far from Kent to see the relatives and nearer the sun!
